Arsene Wenger terms Mourinho's "specialist in failure" statement as silly and disrespectful

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has described Jose Mourinho's "specialist in failure" comment as "silly" and "disrespectful".

Jose Mourinho responded to Wenger's statement he was playing down his side's title chances through a "fear of failure" in the Premier League at the end of the season by describing Wenger a "specialist in failure."

Arsenal boss Wenger was adamant he would not be drawn into a war of words with Mourinho, but suggested the incident is "embarrassing" for Chelsea.

He revealed in an interview "I do not want to go into silly, disrespectful remarks," he told BT Sport. "I did not speak about him in my press conference and I won't do so again tonight.

"All I know is that it is more embarrassing for Chelsea than for me."

However, Wenger went into further depth in the post-game press conference, adding: "I’m embarrassed for him, honestly.

"I think we’re here to talk about a football club. First of all I’d say I didn’t speak about him in my press conference. I have no more to say.

"I’m not interested in the subject at all - that is really, genuinely. If you’re interested and have nothing more to do with your life, that’s up to you.

"I love football. I’m sorry to disappoint you but I focus on what’s on the pitch."

Arsenal defeats Liverpool out of the FA cup

After a 5:1 huge defeat at Anfield last week by Liverpool, Arsenal this time, flaunted a brave challenge and refusing to be beaten again rather they kicked Liverpool out of the FA cup.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain reflected a growing importance not confined to the finishing and crossing that supplied Arsenal’s first and then Lukas Podolski for their second goal.

Oxlade had luck on his side after Howard Webb’s amazing refusal to award Liverpool a second penalty; a clumsy foul on Luis Suarez was blatant. Webb, almost certainly through a misplaced sense of evening out the decisions, should later have sent Steven Gerrard off for an obviously bookable foul that deserved a second yellow card.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has long been accused of not varying his tactics, but this was a wholly different Arsenal, not just from last week, but for much of the last nine years. His teams were once capable of duking it out with all comers. If opponents came to kick, Arsenal would kick back harder. Should they come to play, then Arsenal could play most opponents off the field. Somewhere along the way, that was lost.

For Wenger, that resourcefulness made a happy return just as another season lurched toward trophylessness. He was more than happy to give his team the credit.

Wenger told Sky Sports “It was vital for us, I am very pleased with the intensity of our commitment. We had a clinical desire to take every opportunity to kill them.”

In not letting Liverpool have their way and then taking scoring opportunities with precision, a template was provided for how they might have escaped humiliation last week, and might yet in the Champions League.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud admits and apologises for extra-marital affair with glamour model

French international Olivier Giroud has issued an apology after a British tabloid newspaper alleged that he had an extra-marital affair.

The Sun on Sunday claimed that Giroud spent a night in a hotel with lingerie model Celia Kay prior to Arsenal's 2-0 home win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League earlier this month.

The article was accompanied by a photograph, reportedly taken by Kay, which apparently showed Giroud in his underpants in a hotel room.

"I apologise to my wife, family and friends and my manager, teammates and Arsenal fans," Giroud wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday.

"I now have to fight for my family and for my club and obtain their forgiveness. Nothing else matters at the moment."
Giroud, 27, is Arsenal's first-choice centre-forward and is also a key player for the France national side.

Manchester City defeats Chelsea out of the FA Cup

Manchester City has reacted to their loss with Chelsea in the previous game in EPL where they got beaten twice home and away this season with a convincing win that places them in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Manchester midfield stars Stevan Jovetic and Samir Nasri scored the goals that keeps City's dreams of a quadruple alive and the winning margin might have been even more emphatic on a miserable night for Jose Mourinho's men.

Chelsea will obviously be very disappointed with their performance this night. In the end it was a comfortable win for Man City, who were absolutely much better. They were solid and denied Chelsea time and space throughout. It is indeed a well deserved victory for Manchester City.

Chelsea had only managed just three efforts at goal in the 90 minutes: hopeful shots from distance from Willian and Cesar Azpilicueta that were well off target, and a late Gary Cahill header which was blocked. With the in-form Eden Hazard restrainted by James Milner and Pablo Zabaleta, the Premier League leaders looked short of ideas and City's defensive diligence meant Chelsea never got the chance to break forward in the manner that had proved so decisive in their last match.

Mourinho Describes Wenger "as a Specialist in Failure"

Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho has gone further in a dramatic harsh words with Arsenal Boss Arsene Wenger. On Friday in an interview he describes the Arsenal manager as "a specialist in failure".

Arsenal Boss Wenger had reacted to Jose Mourinho statement saying "Arsenal would have no excuses if they do not win the EPL title this season." He described Jose Mourinho's statement saying the "Chelsea boss has a fear of failure."

Jose Mourinho had responded to that speaking at a news conference ahead of Chelsea's FA Cup tie with Manchester City this weekend, "He's a specialist in failure. I am not." The Chelsea boss said.

He went further sayin "The reality is he's a specialist because eight years without a piece of silverware, that is failure.

"If Mr Abramovich gives me eight years... In eight years you have to build so much, so much, so much. I don't want eight years.

"I just want my four years of contract and, after that, to deserve or not deserve the next contract."

When asked if Wenger is correct in saying the title is Chelsea's to lose, Mourinho replied: "The champions are Manchester United, so Manchester United are the title's owner until the moment where, mathematically, they lose the title."

This has obviously sparked a huge dispute between this two great managers, and I sincerely hope it ends sooner so they will get more focused on the title race.
