ENUGU STATE GOVERNOR, SULLIVAN CHIME REVEALED HE HAD CANCER OF THE NOSE

Enugu State Governor Sullivan Chime spoke to Jonalists on monday...

He said he noticed a growth at the back of his neck, he complained of not having any pain, discomfort, symtom, he was feeling nothing. So his Doctor examined it and told him there was nothing serious, he couldn't feel anything. Even after general scanning and screening were done, nothing was found. The Governor insisted on a further investigation.

The Governor later left for London for further investigation and proper screening for that particular growth. They did biopsies and all that, and they discovered that the growth was cancerous.

Further investigation revealed that the main turmor was behind his nose. It turned out to be what they called "Lasopharyngeal cancer" that is cancer of the nose.

So they discovered it hadn't spread and then the treatment commenced. The treatment all together took 12 weeks which ended on December 10 2012. He was advised stay to stay off duty for a while for thorough observation.

Further screening and scanning had been done last month and they have revealed no lump. Though he will be going for medical check up often to ensure the turmor doesn't show its ugly face again.

Good to have you back governor !!!
