AVB had spent £105M this season in bringing new players to the club and still couldn't show an interesting performance for Tottenham Huspur. Just recently they were beaten 6:0 by manchester city. The last they wouldn't tolerate from AVB was the embarrassing 5:0 defeat by Liverpool FC at home.
Tottenham Huspur Board of Directors believed they had given AVB enough time to get the club to a better position, which he couldn't deliver and his prospects were awful. They felt it was time to part ways.
