The body of Simeon Uzoma Obodo, the 35 year old killed in Goa, India, on October 31, arrived on saturday to Nigeria and has been deposited to a Portharcourt morgue. A family relative of the late Obodo, Mr Ejike Ezikonye confirms the arrival of the corpse in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja yesterday.
the family said about #6.5M had been spent in flying the corpse to Nigeria and mortuary cost in India. They claimed they have not received any financial assistance from the Indian and Nigeria government. They are appealing to the Federal government for an aid. The late Obdo left behind an aged mother and wife. His burial has been fixed on December 28 in his home town in Imo state.
