Arsenal and Chelsea played out a goalless draw on a wet and windy night at the Emirates leaving Liverpool top of the Premier League at Christmas.It was a huge fierce game, both teams trying to create higher impact against each other. The two club managers, Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger were really restless, they all meant business, seriously leaving no stone unturned.
Jose Mourinho after the match encouraged his team. When asked about his team performance, "They played their game but it was the game we wanted them to play. They tried to win the game but we played tactically well". Jose Mourinho replied.
It is not a happy moment for Arsene Wenger, he was hoping for a win so Arsenal would get back to the top spot. Recently the team has dropped in their performance and their prolific goals habit, with Liverpool moving ahead of them in the league table. Manchester city, Chelsea, Everton and few other clubs are also strongly linked to the top spot, the point gaps are very close.
Arsenal had maintained on the top spot for a longer time, and it was like the eight years drought would come to an end this season. Chelsea is also hoping to top the league this season with the second coming of the "Happy one". Manchester United are working hard to maintain as the league champion, though it has been an awful season for them. Manchester city too is saying "No way" the league belongs to them after few years they carried it last. LIverpool would not hesitate to a huge opportunity this season with the super performance of Luis Suarez and Dani Sturridge. Everton, Tottenham, Newcastle and others are still strong contenders and it may as well go to them.
