Rivers State Police Commissioner Joseph Mbu has been moved to FCT

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mbu has been moved by the Federal Police Commission from Rivers State to FCT.

Joseph Mbu has been moved to the Federal Capital Territory Command after months of resisting public pressure.
while the Commissioner in charge of the Special Fraud Unit, Johnson Ogunshakin, replaces him in Rivers State, according to a statement from the Police Service Commission on Thursday.

There has been serious fight between the Police Commissioner and the State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi while he was still in Rivers State. Governor Amaechi had accused Mbu of being part of those fueling the political crisis in Rivers State and the All Progressives Congress had insisted on Mbu’s removal, accusing him of partisanship and issuing unconstitutional directives.
