Arsene Wenger reveals he may bring in a surprise before the end of January transfer window

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has revealed he may have to surprise fans by bringing in some new faces before the end of the January transfer window following a few injured players in his team.

Arsenal has failed to gained the chance to step up four points clear at the top of the Premier League table following their 2-2 draw played at Southampton.

The Gunners were forced to recover from the shock of conceding Jose Fonte's first-half goal as Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla put Arsenal 2-1 ahead at St Mary's but Adam Lallana equalised to deny the Arsenal a vital three points.

Arsenal told a Sports Journalist in an interview after the match "I have nothing to tell you tonight, maybe I hope we have something to tell you because we lost have a few players now." Mathieu Flamini was dismissed for an 80th minute challenge on Morgan Schneiderlin and will be suspended for three matches, while Santi Cazorla was forced off with an injury.

He went further saying, "Abou Diaby and Theo Walcott are long term absentees and Wenger admitted that Aaron Ramsey suffered a setback during training and may be out for longer than expected but overall I think Jack Wilshere will be back soon, so I think we'll be fine."

Arsene Wenger admitted he was happy to settle for a point, though it wasn't what he expected "It may not be enough but at least considering the situation it's not too bad the way we responded. We have shown again great character" he said.
