The Chief of Oba Ile still missing over 2 months ago

The family of Chief Olaniyan Adelere of Oba  Ile in Olorunda Local Government Area, Osun State, has urged the police and other security agencies to intensify search on the community leader  who has been missing since November 2013.

Mr. Oye  Adeyemi, a brother to the missing Chief said that the family had been troubled since Adelere  got missing. The Oloba of Oba Ile, Oba Olayinka Adeeyo, had on December 2nd, 2013 told the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 11, Mr. David Omojola, the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Dorothy Gimba , that Adelere had been missing for four days, while returning to Osogbo from Oba Ile.

It was learnt that the AIG and the CP had visited Oba Ile and the neighbouring Oba Oke to assess the level of destruction in the communities following a bloody clash between their youths.

The sibling of the missing chief stated that the disappearance of Adelere was a mystery to the whole town.

“We have made many efforts to know his whereabouts but none has yield any positive result. We want to see his corpse even if he is dead. It is almost two months now.” One of the Chief brothers said.
